ORDERS LOCKED!
We’ve started locking down orders, which means they can no longer be changed through BackerKit, though you can still update your shipping information if needed.
If your order is locked, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your order is ready to ship just yet, but we’re getting closer and some orders will ship very soon (more info below)! We’ve locked orders at this point to make it easier to keep organized and make things faster for when we have all the pieces needed for fulfillment in hand.

In the coming weeks, BackerKit will start charging credit cards for the shipping fees and for any add-ons. If there are any issues with the payments, you should receive an email with a link to fix the issue, but definitely let us know if you run into any problems and we'll help sort it out.

Good news! We soon will have all of the items for the smaller collections, so smaller orders will start shipping very soon! We don’t yet have complete Legendary sets, but more and more items continue to arrive from the 3D printer and caster, so we're getting closer. Our plan is to ship everything we possibly can, as fast as we can, week by week, throughout the fall.

LOCKING DOWN SURVEYS SOON!
Starting the week of September 14th, we will begin to lock down the BackerKit surveys. This means that you have until then to finalize your order and we’ll also start to charge any uncharged credit cards.
If there are any issues with the payments, you should receive an email with a link to fix the issue, but definitely let us know if you run into any problems and we'll help sort it out. The best way to reach us is:
NOTE that this doesn't mean we're ready to start shipping just yet, but we're getting closer! Locking down the orders at this point helps us stay organized so we can start to group similar orders to be as efficient as possible once we receive all the parts from the caster.
PRODUCTION UPDATE
Casting for all of the figures for this campaign is nearly complete, but we’re still in a bit of a holding pattern with our 3D printing partner for some of the items. Since they were closed for a few months, they have a large backlog of orders to process, and ours is among them.
We are slowly receiving the parts we need piece by piece, but since most people ordered the Legendary tiers with all the items, we can’t ship those out until we receive every last piece. The good news is once as we start to receive the pewter items, we’ll have all the other parts of the order ready to go, so we can hit the ground running and (hopefully!) get big batches of orders out the door quickly.

JULY UPDATE

STATUS
Hi everyone! Not a ton to report, but we’re still chugging along and making progress. We’ve starting sorting things and packing boxes with everything we have in our possession, which includes magnets, steel plugs, bases, installation tools, and chains. Really the only thing we’re waiting on is the final batch of 3D prints and the bulk of the pewter pieces.
Collection 1 figures boxed and ready!
Our backup 3D printing option that we mentioned in the last update turned out to be slowww, so while it’s helped us to stay on target, we’re back to our original 3D printing partner to finish the remaining items left to print. So, things should (hopefully) go a little quicker now! At this point we still thinking that casting will happen throughout August and into September, and we’ll be able to begin the shipping process as soon as we start to receive the pewter pieces.
BACKERKIT
In about a month we will begin to lock down the BackerKit surveys. This means that you have until then to finalize your order and shipping information, and any uncharged credit cards will be charged at that time. We'll post another update to give a super-duper-final lockdown notice (which will probably be the next update).

JUNE UPDATE

PEWTER CASTING
We’re happy to say things have started to move closer to normal speed. While our go-to 3D printing partner is still delayed, we were able to find another local service, and after some test runs they will soon start printing all the weapons and items for the new collection.
Everything will be printed in very high detail in wax, which will then be sent to our Fire & Bone casting partner to turn those into bronze using lost wax casting. Then, we will clean up the bronze pieces and send them to our pewter caster, who will use them to make the molds for spin casting.
Luckily, most of the new figures and familiars are already ready to go in bronze, so our pewter caster has been busy this month making the first run of those. They have also started making the figures and items from Collection 1 that some of you have added on to your orders.
OTHER BITS
Otherwise, magnets, steel plugs, boxes, bases, and other bits have arrived as expected. We’ll continue to organize and prepare everything for packing, and we can even start bagging and boxing up the non-pewter stuff which will give us a nice head start for when all the new figures and items arrive from the caster. So, tons more to cast and sort and pack, but we’re making progress!

Most of you have filled out your surveys, but if you haven't filled yours out yet, please do asap. The earlier we can tally final production numbers, the less chance that there will be delays later on.

MANUFACTURING UPDATE
As you can imagine, manufacturing has been a bit tricky to navigate this spring, but we’re moving forward and everything is on track. Most 3D models are now finalized, and we’re waiting for the first batch to be 3D printed. There’s a bit of a delay here since our 3D printing partner is in NYC, so they are awaiting the go-ahead for reopening. Once the prints are in our hands, we’ll be able to get them to the pewter caster to start making the thousands of figures and items!
All of the other parts, including packaging, hardware, and bases are ordered and currently being made and slated to arrive in June and July. Overall, there’s tons of casting, sorting, and packaging left to do, but we're pleased with our progress so far! We’ll keep chipping away and look forward to starting shipping in a few months.
